These past few months I've collected small wooden embroidery hoops to use to decorate my wall. This project has been on my mind for the last year or so but I just got around to doing something about it. I recently bought some new fabric from the quilting store near my house. They have a great selection of modern fun fabrics and this afternoon I framed and hung a handful of them in my craft room. I have a few more small hoops in ovals and circles sitting around but need to find the right fabric for them.

What a clever idea! The fabrics are great and so is the design. Maybe your great grandmother's 23" hoop will make a nice addition with the right fabric!
It might be too big for the wall but I'll definitely consider putting it up. Otherwise I'll use it for quilting--what it was meant for.
That's super fun!
I'm glad that your great-grandmother's hoop isn't stuck in the attic. It has been used for many quilts - and you may even have one of them.
